POMMEDLAB maintain strict quality control and affiliated with various quality monitoring organizations such as RACPQA.

Most test results are available within 10 minutes to few hours. All test are reported within 24 hours.

Most tests do not require any preparation. I is a good idea to fast for diabetic or cholesterol tests. For ultrasound tests contact POMMEDLAB for pre-test instruction.

No. All screening tests can be done just by making direct arrangement or appointment  but we also perform tests referred by your doctor. Our resident doctors are qualified to offer appropriate test or exam profile depending on complexity of your problem.

If your report is abnormal you will be referred to appropriate specialist for follow-up. Our resident doctors are qualified also to offer advice on abnormal reports for an additional small fee. Reports referred by your doctor should be discussed with your doctor.

Question 5. What happens if my result is abnormal?

Question 6 . What is your policy on patient confidentiality?

Your report is confidential and will only known to you and your doctor. Our staff is trained to maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Your report is linked to a unique identifier and information will only be made available at your request and NOT even your relative or employer will know your report without your permission.

Question 7. Do you prescribe or offer any treatment?

While our doctors are qualified to offer prescriptions medications, it is advisable to see your own doctor for proper assessment and treatment. We will attempt to prescribe straight forward initial emergency treatment for example for malaria, typhoid, hypertension, or antibiotics but for continuing care you should see your GP or specialist. 

Question 8. What if the test is not available at your centre?

Please contact us if you want any test that is not available. POMMEDLAB will try to advice further referral of particularly blood tests  not available at our centre.

Cost depends on individual procedures and tests taken. It is cheaper to do our examination packages, for example, healthy kidney, healthy liver, lipid screen, diabetes screen , etc than performing individual tests. Phone or email enquiry for cost of different tests and investigations

Question 11. What payment method do you accept?

At this stage, we accept cash and EFTOS only. We will introduce credit card charge facility soon. No service provided on credit to new customers but existing customers will be considered in individual basis?
